These are PERFECT for those with larger calves.I have thick legs and many times find med to tall chore/work boots too tight.These are a perfect fit and can even tuck in thin pants

I use waterproof boots often as I traverse creeks near my house. I've used most of the top fishing, hunting and deck boot brands. These "Truedave" boots are modeled after Muck Pathfinder series, a leader in waterproof hunting and fishing boots.These Truedave are called Waterproof/Work/Hunting boots. They are indeed waterproof. I submerged them almost 12" deep walking in a running creek with no sign of a leak at the stitching. The stretchy neoprene upper is just as waterproof as the rubber bottom. Overall they are decent boots and fairly comfortable. I did however feel that the toe to heel drop felt a bit excessive for my foot. I prefer around a 5mm max drop where these feel like 7mm+ drop. I feel like they could have added a bit more cushion to the sole under the toe box area -- as there is a lot of ground-feel, and I can feel small rocks under foot. Adding more rubber there would also reduce the heel to toe drop. In a work or hunting boot, I don't think you care about ground-feel or want much heel-to toe drop (like a running shoe). In fact some top modern waterproof boots now sport 0-drop.Note that I wear a size 10.5 US Mens in most boots/shoes. I ordered an 11US Mens here so I could add an insole but I found they are not big enough to do that. The 11 is just a hair bigger than my other 10.5's. So they seem to run a 1/2 size small.These boots are a decent value considering that the top brands are nearly double the price. The rubber material could be thicker but that might also increase the price. Still I think there could be a few improvements that wouldn't cost the company much to implement (thicker rubber sole, cushier insole, less than 5mm drop). Also, this is nitpicking but the box says "Comfort For Built". What?, ha
